Comply with all environmental laws, regulations and our policies in your work. When submitting environmental reporting data, make sure it’s accurate, complete and timely.
• Work to develop clean technologies and products — We envision cars existing sustainably with the earth and society. In your work, tackle challenges with creative ideas and support our goal to offer environmentally friendly products to more people.
• Promote environmentally conscious business practices — Look for ways to promote resource-saving and recycling activities, shift to using sustainable resources, diversify our energy sources and dispose of waste in environmentally sound ways.
• Cooperate with business partners and local communities — Our relationships are an important part of our conservation efforts. Do your part to promote sustainable practices by selecting environmentally responsible partners and by seeking ways to work with local communities to achieve better environmental protection.
• Share concerns – Be alert to and report any activity that does not meet our standards or that you believe will damage the environment. By doing so, you help us preserve our reputation and protect the communities we serve.

Know what Mazda expects. Each one of us, as well as our partners, are expected to meet all product safety and quality specifications. We never make exceptions or take shortcuts that could compromise the safety or quality of our products. Do your part to ensure complete and accurate quality testing and performance reporting.

Work toward continuous improvement. Routinely check equipment and processes to make sure they conform to specifications. If you believe there is a safety issue or defect that might affect the safety or quality of one of our vehicles, report your concerns.

Choose wisely. When selecting business partners, practice due diligence and make sure they engage in ethical business practices. Evaluate them based only on objective criteria, such as price, quality and the needs of our Company.

Act ethically. Treat all of our partners fairly:

• Do not take unfair advantage of the relationship.
• Avoid even the appearance of a conflict of interest.
• Never accept inappropriate gifts, entertainment or favors.

Monitor performance. We can be held liable for the actions of third parties working on our behalf. Let them know that we expect them to honour our values and comply with our Code, the law and our policies. Keep in regular contact and monitor their work closely to ensure that they represent our Company with integrity.

Contribute responsibly. If you decide to give your time, resources or energy to support a charitable cause, follow our policies.
